The four main restrictions are:

  • In the event that the Insured Party does not live in Spain, they will be covered for repatriation to the location where their trip began in Spain.
  • The Insurer shall not assume any responsibility for benefits that have not been requested and previously agreed to, except in cases of force majeure or those whose nature is impossible to demonstrate.
  • Coverage for diseases or conditions caused by the intentional ingestion or consumption of alcohol, toxic substances, narcotics or the use of nonprescription medicines.
  • Coverage for suicide death and injury or illnesses resulting from the intent of the Insured Party to injure themselves and those derived from criminal actions.
  • Aesthetic treatments and the supply or replacement of hearing aids, contact lenses, glasses, orthoses
    and prostheses in general, as well as the expenses caused by births or pregnancies and any type of mental illness.
  • Injuries or illnesses arising from the Insured party’s participation in gambling, competitions or sports tests, and carrying out sports and/or any adventure activities not expressly covered.
  • The rescue of people in the desert and/or at sea.
  • Injuries produced by the professional practice of any type of sport.
There are several amounts insured according to the coverages offered. The most noteworthy are:

  • Medical and health care:
  • Spain: €2,000 to €5,000.
  • Europe and the Mediterranean: €100,000 to €250,000.
  • The world: €150,000 which can be extended to €250,000.
  • Maximum dental coverage €250
  • If the Insured Party is hospitalised abroad, coverage for their companion’s accommodation expenses: maximum €1000 (€100 x 10 days).
  • Insured Party’s convalescence in a hotel: maximum €1,000 (€100 x 10 days).
  • Home help: up to €120.
  • Delivery of forgotten or stolen items: up to €120.
  • Delay in the delivery of checked luggage: up to €120.
  • Theft and damage to luggage: €600 to €1,500.
  • Travel cancellation expenses: €600 to €4,000.
  • Loss of keys: up to €120.
  • Coverage of legal defence: €3,000
  • Delay of the trip due to departure delay: up to €300 (€50 for every 6 hours).
  • Rescue: €3,000
  • Expenses incurred due to kidnapping: €3,000
  • Personal accidents due to death or disability: €15,000 to €60,000.
  • Personal accidents due to death or disability in public transport: €50,000 to €60,000
  • Civil Liability: €50,000 to €60,000.

The entire cost is covered for items such as:

  • Repatriation or transportation of injured, ill or deceased parties.
  • Repatriation or transportation of minors or disabled people and other insured parties.
  • Early return due to hospitalisation of a relative or due to a serious incident in the Insured Party’s home or work premises
  • Travel expenses for a relative to accompany a child.
  • You can choose between coverage in Spain, Europe or the whole world.
  • Europe includes the countries bordering the Mediterranean:
    Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Jordan, Israel, Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Cyprus and Turkey.
  • Medical and Health Assistance coverage is applicable when the Insured Party is further than 50 km from their habitual residence.
  • The other items covered by this policy, except for Cancellation Expenses, are applicable when the
    Insured Party is further than 20 Km from their habitual residence.
  • All coverages will take effect when the Insured Party is at the place of departure — port, airport or train/bus station — for the insured trip.
  • Payment of the premium in the conditions stipulated in the policy.
  • Declare to ARAG, before the formalisation of the contract, all the circumstances known to you that may influence the risk assessment, according to the questionnaire.
  • During the term of the contract, notify ARAG of any modifications to the circumstances declared in the questionnaire that might aggravate the risk.
  • When an incident requiring the use of this policy occurs, it is essential that the Insured Party notifies it to ARAG’s emergency telephone service, indicating the name of the Insured Party, policy number, location and phone number of the location and the type of assistance that is needed.
  • Provide all the information you have regarding the circumstances and consequences of an incident
    and use all the means at your disposal to mitigate any consequences.
The contractor is obliged to pay the premium as soon as the contract is formalised. Unless otherwise agreed, it will be
made in one sole payment. Depending on the agreement with the company, payment of the premium can be made by
direct debit, bank transfer or credit/debit card.
The temporary duration of the insurance coverage will be that specified in the Particular Conditions.
If the General Conditions establish that the contract is renewed every year, you can cancel its automatic renewal by
communicating your intentions in writing at least one month before the renewal date.
Special case: If you have contracted your insurance online, you can cancel it during the first 14 days by sending us a
written communication. However, you cannot cancel travel or luggage insurance whose duration is less than one month
or any other type of insurance whose duration is less than 14 days.
  • Medical and Health Care.

  • Travel for a relative in case of hospitalisation or accompaniment of a minor or disabled child.

  • Early return due to hospitalisation of a relative or due to a serious incident in the Insured Party’s home or work premises.
  • Search, finding and delivery of lost luggage.
  • Delivery of items that have been forgotten or sto-
    len during the trip.
  • Delay of more than 12 hours in the delivery of checked luggage.
  • Theft and damage to luggage.
  • Delay in the arrival of transportation.
  • Travel cancellation expenses.
  • Refund of holidays not enjoyed.
  • Loss of keys to the Insured Party’s habitual resi- dence.
  • Expenses incurred due to kidnapping.
  • Rescue of people.
  • Defence of criminal responsibility abroad.
  • Legal consultation abroad.
  • Claims for damages abroad.
  • Claims for purchase or service contracts abroad.
  • Personal accidents, death or disability, 24 hours.
  • Private civil liability.
